Dr. Kandasamy Gounden
Dr. Kandasamy Gounden is an experienced Family Physician with a demonstrated history of working in the medical practice industry. He is skilled in Clinical Research, Strategic Planning, Healthcare Management, Healthcare, and Leadership. Dr. Kandasamy Gounden is a strong healthcare services professional who has graduated from The College of Family Physicians of Canada.
Dr. Paul Sidhu
Dr. Paul Sidhu is a Family Physician that was born and raised in Maple Ridge. He attended University of British Columbia after graduating high school. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree he attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Once receiving his Medical Doctorate he completed his residency training at UCSF Fresno Family and Community Medicine program in California, USA. In 2012 Dr. Sidhu returned to Maple Ridge and started his family practice. He was initially doing full practice family medicine which included Obstetrics.
Dr. Chandni Nijjar
Dr. Chandni Nijjar joined Midtown Medical Clinic in September 2023 after finishing her residency at the University of British Columbia. She enjoys practicing family medicine as she likes to know, help and understand her patients as individuals beyond their medical diagnosis. When she’s not at the clinic, she serves as an urgent care physician at UPCC, Port Moody. She likes to travel, go camping, and care for her plants when she is home.
Dr. Mojdeh Sharafudin
Dr. Mojdeh Sharafudin is a registered Family Physician in BC. She graduated from Iran University of Medical Science in 1995 and worked in rural and urban areas as a General Physician for 17 years before moving to Canada in 2012. After completing the required assessments, she got accepted into the Saskatchewan Practice Ready Program (SIPPA) in 2018 where she worked as a Family Physician and Hospitalist for 3 years. She moved back to BC in July 2021 and joined Midtown Medical Clinic. She also works casually in Port Moody UPCC as well. She loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and exploring different cultures.
Melissa Caprio
Melissa Caprio BScN, MN, NP (F) completed her graduate studies as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner in Ontario prior to relocating to British Columbia. She has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Northern BC prior to relocating her practice to Maple Ridge. She has a diverse nursing background in Emergency Medicine, Cardiovascular Surgery, Chronic Wound Management, and Clinical Instructing. Being an avid traveller, she also spent a period of time working abroad in Africa and Australia. In her spare time she enjoys hiking with her two dogs. She loves to travel and has a passion for scuba diving, having visited many sites around the world.
Sukhneet Chahal
Sukhneet Chahal started her nursing career in 2013, which led her to work in diverse clinical settings such as burns, trauma, orthopaedics, and most recently the cardiac intensive care unit. Her lifelong dedication to learning and passion for health prevention led her to complete her Masters of Nursing– Family Nurse Practitioner degree at the University of Victoria in 2023. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her dog, Bruno, and travelling with her husband.
